EOHIPPUS (e – oh – hip - us) Performing high spirited, festive and sophisticated music we call:  Neo Swing-o Latin-o Funk-o

Eohippus is a 4 piece, performing and recording group featuring piano, bass, guitar and drums.
EOHIPPUS has been performing around Colorado for over twenty years.

The group performs only original compositions including selections from their two CD releases:
“Evolution” and “Get On”
The music is instrumental, with a wide range of influences: Swing, Jazz, Caribbean, Latin, R & B, and Funk.
(the group does not perform standards or requests).

In performance the sets often follow a pattern of opening with easygoing swing or light Latin numbers and as the set progresses will include many dance type rhythms and energetic gooves. The band calls it “Danceable Jazz.”

All the music is upbeat, finger snapping, toe tapping and party friendly.

In performance the group consists of 4 native Coloradoans and long time musical veterans:

Bill Kerr on guitar. An outstanding studio musician and composer, Bill was trained at the Berkeley School of Music in Boston and graduated with a degree in music from the University of Denver. During the 90’s he owned and operated the Kerr/Macy Music Group, one of Denver’s top Recording studios. Bill’s melodic sensibilities crossover from jazz into a wide range of musical styles.

George Brangoccio on bass. George has created and performed with many of Colorado’s favorite bands in venues across the state.  His years’ of experience in rhythm design and musical arrangement help make Eohippus unique.  George entertains the audience with his fun and easy-going style of performance.

Bruce Crisman on drums & percussion.  A true veteran of Colorado’s jazz scene Bruce has performed with most of our top jazz talents for over 25 years.  His own Crisman Quartet worked in Colorado for 12 years. His style is energetic and intricate providing a solid rhythmic foundation for the groups latin-jazz, swing and funky dance beats.

Jim Robischon on keyboards.  Another veteran club and concert performer, Jim has played in venues throughout Colorado and the west in a wide range of music groups.  His varied compositions form the musical backbone of Eohippus. An energetic performer his enthusiasm is contagious.
