  Drew Morell

Drew Morell has been a professional jazz pianist, bassist, guitarist and music educator in the Denver area for the last 20 years. Drew was the house bassist at the nationally renowned jazz club, El Chapultapec for three years. He also has played with many internationally respected jazz musicians including Ralph Sharron, Spike Robinson, Harry “Sweets” Edison, Red Halloway, Nick Brignola, Bud Shank, Carl Fontana, Conte Candoli, Javon Jackson, Mark Elff, L.A. vocalist Sherry Williams, Lew Tobaccin, Nelson Rangel, Jimmy Heath and Dakota Staton. He has traveled with the Nelson Riddle and the Diahann Carroll Orchestras, and played in all the major jazz festivals in Colorado.

Drew is a professor at the University of Colorado at Denver, and owns his own music studio, Infinity Music. He's been recorded as a sideman on more than 20 CDs. Drew's most recent CD Talkin' (with the Bob Montgomery Quartet) has been getting frequent air play both nationally and internationally.


Class and Versatility. From major jazz festival performances to intimate cocktail receptions, Drew Morell Jazz has been providing Colorado with beautiful and lively music for over 20 years! This very versatile jazz group can be tailored to any client’s specific needs. The group can perform as the full quintet providing a high energy, rich sound that would be perfect for a concert or festival appearance as well as a large event or wedding. The group also works frequently in a duo or trio format to present a softer more background-jazz style. Drew Morell Jazz features a wide spectrum of jazz ranging from Big Band era music to the jazz standards of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald all the way to energetic bebop and funk.
