Gypsy Swing Revue is a jazz ensemble that carries on the tradition of Gypsy Jazz created by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli during their domination of the Paris jazz scene of the 1930s and ‘40s.The “Hot Club” style of jazz is ideal for all occasions, from outdoor concerts, to nightclubs to swing dances and elegant dinner parties.
Gypsy Jazz is an artful addition to any public or private event, including wedding receptions. Experience the music exactly as it sounded in Paris in the 1930s and ‘40s. Gypsy Swing Revue tailors their show to your needs, performing as a duo, trio or quartet. A vocalist can be added to any configuration. The musicians perform with or without amplification, depending upon the size of the audience and venue. No matter the size of the event, Gypsy Swing Revue will create an artful and cheerful atmosphere for fans enjoying jazz from the Paris of the 1930s.
The music of Gypsy Swing Revue is the Swinging Jazz of the '30s and '40’ plus a cross-section of songs from the modern Gypsy Jazz repertoire. With instrumentation similar to Django’s Hot Club, namely two acoustic guitars, upright bass, and violin, each Gypsy Swing Revue performance provides exciting, engaging music for all to enjoy.

Garrett's hot with cool new swing show. Vocalist Lannie Garrett is setting Friday nights on fire at the Inn at Cherry Creek. I caught the debut of her new act, Hot Paris Nights - with the Gypsy Swing Revue. It's a sophisticated, grown-up night of music with a few laughs thrown in. Garrett has grown up, and so have we. And her show is a reason to celebrate, Frenchy style…..The band is the best combo Garrett has ever fronted. Think jazzy French café music in the tradition of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli…..”

It don't mean a thing...Picture Audrey Tautou in Amelie gliding down a rough cobblestone path in her perfect French way on an old bicycle. Imagine soft, delightful and charming music accompanying her wide smile. In essence, you've just listened to the Gypsy Swing Revue. Head into Black Forest to dig some Euro-jazz and road-inspired sounds this weekend. Close your eyes, and maybe you'll see Audrey.

Swallow Hill on the Seine! One cannot take lightly any attempt to play this demanding, technically challenging style of music pioneered by the late guitar great Django Reinhart. In other words, you best be good. Fortunately, this locally based quartet has the panache and savoir-faire to pull it off avec beaucoup de style. As with any self-respecting Gypsy swing outfit, the hot guitar licks and the soulful
fiddle are featured in this quartet and masterfully enhanced by a water tight rhythm section of upright bass and rhythm guitar. Individually, the members of GSR were accomplished musicians in their own right before joining the Revue. Together they pay an homage to this musical style that would make the likes of Django and Grapelli beam with pride. Yes, our Café is in Denver, but you will be excused for thinking you are on a sidewalk in Paris, after Gypsy Swing Revue successfully transports you with
their wonderfully catchy brand of Gypsy jazz.
